Giovanni Assad

I'm a 4th-year CS student at Northeastern University interested in agentic engineering, creating compelling UX, and building things people want to use.

Last fall I interned at Amazon where I built an internal mentor recommendation system. Before that I cofounded Opero Labs, where we raised a pre-seed round at an 8-figure valuation to build browser agents.

I previously interned in the health-tech industry at Philips where I developed hospital monitoring software. I also worked on a research-based ed-tech tool called Gruepr, used by 80+ institutions, alongside Professor Joshua Hertz.

My team built physiological features for a hospital monitoring system used by thousands of hospitals throughout the world. My favorite part was diagnosing and solving bugs from reports made at hospitals in places like Sweden or Japan. Super cool to know you're helping patients at a global scale.
